We wrote a post about Bow Tie earlier this year. They’re a Spanish company with production throughout Western Europe (Spain, France, Italy, and the UK). Their casual line features cemented constructions, but their higher-end Goodyear Classic and Premium Gold lines are all Goodyear- or hand-welted. I bought a pair of their Goodyear Classic chukkas last year and was really impressed with the build quality. For guys looking to get well-made shoes without dropping a hefty coin, these and Meermin are some of the best I’ve seen. 

For sizing, I recommend going one-size down from your usual Brannock size. So, if you usually take a 9D in US shoes, you’re mostly likely an 8 in Bow Tie.
