The Put This On Flier’s Cap

While looking at vintage militaria a few months ago, I was taken with the B-1 cap. It was worn by fliers in the US Army Air Force during World War Two. I loved the three-panel design, and resolved to bring the cap back in our own distinct Put This On style.

Our version is made of premium herringbone cotton, with a soft leather band and a crushable brim. It’s handmade, one at a time, by our milliner in her home. We’ve kept most of the detailing the same – our milliner had to buy a new sewing machine to match the interior seams – but we’ve also lengthened the brim slightly and made a few other nips and tucks.

The cap is fitted, and is just $54 in our shop. Supplies are extremely limited.

And hey, while you’re at it, why not accessorize it with a linen aviator’s scarf?
