One of the great frustrations about the low end of tailored men’s clothing is how hard it is to find anything that’s genuinely seasonal. It’s tough to justify spending big money on a cotton suit, for example, but it’s also tough to walk into a shop like J. Crew and find something that’s both affordable and actually suited for the summer. Often the cheaper stuff is lined with sweat-inducing polyester, and frankly, it’s rarely all that cheap.
Luckily, Uniqlo has some great summer suiting options this year. All four of the coats above have matching pants, and all four are unlined cotton. The coats are XS-S-M-L-XL sized, and they’re pretty long in the sleeves and short in the body, so it isn’t a perfect dream, but at $110 for the set, it might be worth taking a flier.
