I stopped by the Apolis sample sale this weekend in LA and left with a pile of stuff. Apolis specializes in a somewhat modern take on classic surplus clothing – work jackets, military style and simple basics. The fabrics are quite nice, and the stuff’s extremely wearable.
The sale had a bit of everything at reasonable if not quite blow-the-walls-down prices. T-shirts were three for $35, shorts $35, shirts around $50, coats were $80, the technical stuff (really nice) was $50 and $100. There were a few items on closeout for less, as well. Lots of stuff in all sizes, especially small and XL.
