Prior to the release of the Veblen, the only Florsheims anyone recommended were vintage Imperials on eBay. These handsome shoes helped restore Florsheim’s standing and became the darling of the men’s style blogosphere a few months back because they’re
- Goodyear-welted
- Full-grain leather, and
- Relatively affordable.
Already a good deal at full price, I doubt a better longwing can be had for $128.

I’ve only heard good things about these shoes. I’d love to see a pair in person, but on paper, they’re a very solid value.
