- Umbrellas from Francesco Maglia, a small Italian workshop that’s produced for Hermes and Tom Ford. These umbrellas have a single, solid-stick that forms the shaft and handle, making them a bit more handsome than the two-piece constructions you’ll find elsewhere. In the United States, the same models retail for about $450. With VAT discounts, favorable exchange rates, and this coupon code, Grunwald has them for about $175.
- Gloves from Merola, an old family-owned glove making business that has been operating since 1885. These dark brown carpinchos are my favorite, although the oxblood Nappas are a bit more affordable. The first comes unlined, which means they’ll fit closer to your hand, while the second is lined with cashmere, making them better for truly cold days. Prices are about $150 and $89 respectively.
