As I mentioned earlier today, I think Club Monaco is one of the better places to score a decent sweater for not too much money. So long as you wait for their sales, anyway (at full retail, they’re a bit pricey). Better still if you can stack the 20% off student discount.
Right now, Refinery29 is offering $100 store credit to Club Monaco for $50. I’m not sure if you can still combine that with the student discount, but at the very least, it puts some of their basic v-necks or cardigans at about $30 once you use the voucher. Really not a bad price. You can also use the voucher on their third-party brands, such as Ray Ban or 3Sixteen, or other some of their other items in the sale section.
